The following is a video of a speech that was given by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, author of “The Harbinger,” at the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC on January 21, 2013.  This is a VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE for all Americans and, in my opinion, a dire warning.  Please consider the words being said.

In this most interesting two-part video, Dr. Chuck Missler discusses the coming world dictator known as the Antichrist, his origins, and his ultimate demise.  Of interest is that in various passages of the Bible, he is referred to as the Assyrian.  Dr. Missler points out that this alludes to the Antichrist being from one of the Arab nations.  In this day and age, this should cause the antennae of many to rise.  This is an “edge-of-seater” if ever there was one.  Enjoy!

What do ancient mythology, the Genesis 6 giants, and future end time events possibly have in common?  Perhaps more than you’ve ever imagined!

In the following video, Gary Stearman from Prophecy in the News interviews Christian author and filmmaker, Rob Skiba, about this most interesting topic.

In “Hated by All Nations for My Name’s Sake” we discussed primarily how Israel as a whole would be hated during the Tribulation period because it was their lineage through which the Messiah came.  This hatred is not only of the heart but has deep spiritual roots going all the way back to the Garden of Eden and the fall of man.  In this new installment of the “Are We Living in the End Times” series, we’ll look at Matthew 24:10, which states, “And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.”

What does it mean to be offended?  When we hear this word in English, we usually think of someone getting their feelings hurt for one reason or another.  But the word translated as “offended” in the above passage of scripture has a slightly different meaning in the original Greek.  The word is “skandalizō” and according to the Blue Letter Bible search engine, the following are all the biblical usages for this word:

 1)  to put a stumbling block or impediment in the way, upon
……..which another may trip and fall, metaph. to offend
      .a)  to entice to sin
.b)  to cause a person to begin to distrust and desert one whom
……………he ought to trust and obey
             i)  to cause to fall away
ii)  to be offended in one, i.e. to see in another what I
…………………disapprove of and what hinders me from acknow-
…………………ledging his authority
iii)  to cause one to judge unfavourably or unjustly of
      c)  since one who stumbles or whose foot gets entangled feels
             i)  to cause one displeasure at a thing
            ii)  to make indignant
           iii)  to be displeased, indignant

Also, the Amplified Bible translates Matthew 24:10 as follows:  “And then many will be offended and repelled and will begin to distrust and desert [Him Whom they ought to trust and obey] and will stumble and fall away and betray one another and pursue one another with hatred.”

So it appears this passage is indicating that people will stumble and fall away from the message of the Messiah of Israel, Jesus Christ, and will no longer trust His message as truth.  There are many Jews today who believe in Yeshua ha Mashiach (Jesus the Messiah) and of course, many more Gentiles.  So there is no contradiction here with Jesus speaking about people – Jews and Gentiles alike – who will turn away from Him during this time.

Interestingly, the Bible speaks about a “falling away” just before the return of Christ.  2 Thessalonians 2:3 tells us, “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;(“That day” is speaking about the return of the Messiah and the term “man of sin” is speaking of the Antichrist.)

Not only will many stumble and fall away from their belief in the Messiah, Jesus said that they would betray one another.  To betray someone is to double-cross them or to turn them over to their enemy.  So during this horrible time of tribulation when many believers in the Messiah will be hiding for fear of their lives because of their beliefs, they will be turned in to the authorities by people whom they have always trusted – including family members. (“Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.” ~ Mark 13:12)

In the last part of the Matthew 24:10 passage, Jesus also said that many will hate one another.  In order to betray someone to the degree that we see above – especially a family member – there has to be a deep-seated hatred in one’s heart.  How could people hate others to such a degree just because of their religious beliefs?  There’s obviously an underlying supernatural component to this type of extreme emotion.

Even in the present year, 2012, there is hatred in the hearts of many against the followers of Jesus Christ.  Christians are being persecuted and killed on a global scale.  This is a highly underreported fact.  Here’s an article that shines light on this troubling state and deliberate cover-up of this worldwide problem.  It’s entitled “War on Christianity” and can be read here.

How many reading this are surprised by this revelation?  We have all heard of Jewish persecution throughout the years, but I’m sure most had no idea how widespread Christian persecution is. You would think that this would be front page news – but it’s not.  And if it is reported, it has a totally different bend than that of religious persecution.  It’s mainly portrayed as “ethnic violence” or “warring factions.”  But it’s much deeper than that.  (To learn even more about the plight of persecuted Christians around the world, please visit The Voice of the Martyrs website. You will be shocked at what’s really going on in the world we live in.)

A logical question then would be, “Why is the world not being told about the violence against Christians?”  An even more logical question would be, “Why are the world governments allowing these atrocities to continue?”  Sensible reasoning would lead one to believe that they should be doing everything within their power to put a stop to it.  But that doesn’t seem to be the case.

As I mentioned above and also wrote about in the previous installment of this series, the followers of Judaism, the Jews, have also been hated and persecuted from their inception.  And most of us know that there is a common thread between Christians and Jews.  This thread, of course, is that both follow the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – a God whom Satan, the devil, hates.  So it’s no surprise that he would spur the whole world to come against those who follow the one true God of the Bible – the One who defeated him ages ago and cast him out of Heaven.  Satan hates Christians and Jews and he influences the world to do the same.  Jesus Christ – a Jew and the founder of Christianity – said it perfectly when he stated, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.” (John 15:18)  And as blatant as the anti-Christian and anti-Semitic sentiments are today, it will be even more intense during the tribulation period.

Yes, offense to the point of leaving one’s faith, betrayal of friends and family, and supernatural hatred will characterize this period that Jesus said would be a time of “great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now–and never to be equaled again. ” (Matthew 24:21 NIV)  Hopefully all reading this are prepared to escape this terrifying time should it come in our lifetime.  If you’re not sure of how to prepare, please click here to get more information on this very important matter.

The next article in this series will center around yet another ominous element which will permeate this prophetic seven-year period in the not-so-distant future.  The verse which speaks of this is Matthew 24:11, and it states, ‘Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.”  Unfortunately, it’s already happening today.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. ~ Ephesians 6:12

In a previous post, I briefly discussed an invisible battle that occurred between an angelic visitor to the prophet Daniel and the Prince of Persia (a very powerful fallen angelic being).  This battle went on for three weeks before he was able to break through with the help of Michael, the archangel. He was then free to deliver a very important message to Daniel.

This sounds primarily like the makings of a science fiction/fantasy novel.  It’s very hard for our human minds to grasp that scenes like this are very real and are actually happening all around us every day.  As quoted above, Ephesians 6:12 tells us, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”  In the daily battles that we go through with other people or situations, the root cause of those battles is the invisible spiritual wars that are taking place just outside the boundaries of our perceived reality.  We may think that we’re contending only with a certain person or situation; however, as the saying goes, “There’s more than meets the eye.”

Another biblical illustration we have of what actually goes on behind the physical scenes is found in 2 Kings 6:15-17.  In this passage, the prophet Elisha and his servant were being threatened by a hostile army of Syrians.  The servant was beside himself when he awoke one morning to find that they were surrounded by horses and chariots from this enemy of Israel.  But Elisha calmly told him, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”  Then he asked God to open the young man’s eyes so that he may “see.”  When the Lord answered this prayer, the servant saw that the hills were full of supernatural horses and chariots of fire all around them.  The two men were divinely protected that day.  (Read the entire story here.)

Perhaps the most well-known biblical account that we have of warfare in the spiritual realm is found in Revelation 12:7-9, which is quoted below:

And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. ~ Revelation 12:7-9

What an epic battle that will be!  (To learn more about this battle, its aftermath, and how it may or may not affect those of us here on earth at this time, I recommend reading the entire chapter of Revelation 12.)

These are just a few examples of what takes place behind the scenes of our physical reality.  The Bible is full of instances of supernatural intervention in the lives of people just like you and me.  Even today, there are numerous accounts of people whose fates were miraculously altered in the face of danger.  In an earlier article, I actually speak of one such occurrence in the life of one of my sons.  You may read about it here.

So we see that all around us is an invisible spiritual realm which we are, for the most part, unaware of.  All the social unrest in the world, as well as various personal struggles we may face, are the direct result of the unseen battles that are going on in that realm and spilling over into ours.

For more on this very interesting topic, I’ve included the following short video clip from a sermon by Dr. Chuck Missler entitled “The Spiritual World.”  In it, Dr. Missler discusses a couple of the points presented in this article… and much more.  It’s very informative.  I hope you enjoy it.

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days–and also afterward–when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown. ~ Genesis 6:4

This is a rather strange topic for most.  Especially those in Western society who don’t believe in anything that may be regarded as supernatural – whose god is science and whose view of reality totally prevents them from accepting anything outside of the five physical senses (i.e., sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch).  Even those who consider themselves Christians may have a hard time believing that supernatural occurrences are real.

As the title suggests, this article is about UFOs, aliens, and the Nephilim.  As most reading this probably know, the acronym “UFO” stands for “unidentified flying object”; the term “alien” is used in this context to describe a so-called being from another planet; and the Nephilim were a giant breed of people who were around during and after the time of the Flood of Noah. (Genesis 6:4)

Most of us recognize the correlation between UFOs and aliens, but why are the Nephilim included in this discussion?  It’s because Jesus told us that during the time just before His return that things would be as they were during the days of Noah.  (Luke 17:26)  As we will see as this article progresses, there were a lot of very strange and out of the ordinary things going on at that time.  Namely, whatever circumstances caused the Nephilim to come on the scene.  Let’s take a look at that, starting in Genesis 6:1-2:

Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.

This passage tells us that as humans increased on the earth and daughters were born to them, that the “sons of God” saw that these women were beautiful and took them as their wives.  The term “sons of God” is not one we see everyday.  What exactly is meant by this?

Some Christian scholars teach that the sons of God were from the line of Seth (one of Adam’s sons) and the daughters of men were from the line of Cain (the son who murdered his brother Abel).  They reason that Seth’s offspring were “godly” and that Cain’s offspring were “ungodly.”  But there are some things that don’t quite add up when considering this view:

  1. Where does it specifically say that the sons of God were from the line of Seth?  It doesn’t.
  2. Are they saying that Seth is God?  It sure sounds like it.
  3. If Seth’s line was so godly, why were only eight people saved during the Flood?  (Noah and his immediate family.)
  4. And the biggie:  Since Seth and Cain were both humans, WHY ON EARTH would the union of their sons and daughters produce these strange giant creatures (Nephilim) which are mentioned just a couple of verses later?   If you really think about it, it makes absolutely no sense at all!

According to Dr. Chuck Missler of Koinonia House (www.khouse.org), the “sons of Seth and daughters of Cain” view started in the 5th century AD.  Prior to that, another view called the “fallen angel view” was the traditional one held by the Jewish rabbis and the early church. This view states that the sons of God in Genesis 6:4 are fallen angels who lusted after human women, married, and had children with them.  (Of note, every other occurrence of the term “sons of God” in the Old Testament refers to angels.  [See Job 1:6, Job 2:1, and  Job 38:7]  Why would it all of a sudden mean something different in this passage of scripture?)  Regarding these hybrid children, they were extraordinarily large in stature and were the famous heroes of old whom stories have been passed down about throughout the ages.

It is the opinion of some that all the old legends (i.e., Greek and Roman mythology) about the “gods” or “star people” coming down to earth, cohabiting with women, and producing children have their bases in the shenanigans of Genesis 6:1-4.  There are actually many ancient cultures that have recorded these stories.  Some include ancient Sumer, Assyria, Egypt, Incas, Mayan, Persia, Greece, India, and also the American Indians, just to name a few.

Think about it.  How could so many different, seemingly unconnected cultures on earth have such similar stories about these strange events if there wasn’t some truth to them?  It’s the same with the Garden of Eden and the Flood of Noah.  Many places around the globe have similar stories of these events, as well.  It’s only logical that they were passed down from the mouths of the children of Noah – Shem, Ham and Japheth – to their offspring down through the ages, to our present day.

Now back to the question of what UFOs and aliens have to do with the Nephilim.  As we’ve seen so far, the Nephilim were the products of fallen angels who procreated with human women.  Nowadays, there’s a great surge in UFO sightings and stories of human abductions by these alien creatures who claim to be from another planet.  Of interest, some of these abductions have actually been halted by invoking the name of Jesus Christ.  (Read about it here.)  As most Christians know, this works for stopping demonic spirits, as well.  Could there be a connection between the two?  Could these so-called “aliens” actually be fallen angels who are deceiving humans into thinking that they’re from another planet?

Many people who have been abducted by these beings report having been the objects of some sort of sexual or reproductive experiments.  Some women even claim to have felt something moving and growing inside of them after the abduction, only to be abducted again some time later and having whatever it was removed.  If true, could there be a resurgence of hybrid creatures that are the products of human women and fallen angels – just as in the days of Noah?

My all-time favorite Bible scholar and teacher, Dr. Chuck Missler, whom I referenced above, has a really interesting series on this subject matter.  He does an excellent job of laying down the case that these alien creatures are not from other planets but are really fallen angels masquerading as these beings. The series is entitled “Return of the Nephilim” and I’ve included it below in its entirety.  I’ve only touched the tip of the iceberg regarding this topic, but Dr. Missler delves much deeper below the surface than I ever could in this short article.

And please feel free to comment.  I’d love to hear your feedback on this most interesting topic!  Do you think there’s something to this – or is it just a bunch of mumbo jumbo?  See what you think after watching the videos.  Enjoy!

One more thing…

I found this really cool photograph on the web that perfectly sums it all up:

Amen! 🙂

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” ..~.I.Thessalonians 4:16-17
