The following is a very timely message given by Israeli leader Amir Tsarfati about two weeks ago.  It centers around Isaiah 17:1 which says, “The burden against Damascus. ‘Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, And it will be a ruinous heap.'” Considering the current events that are happening with Syria, the United States, and Russia, will this scripture be fulfilled very soon? It looks like a strong possibility.

[A Song of degrees.]

1 Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

The Lord is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the Lord be upon you: we bless you in the name of the Lord.

This is an excellent blog post by speaker and author Joel Rosenberg (Epicenter; The Last Jihad) explaining the meaning behind the Passover and how it relates to the mysterious prophecy about the “suffering servant” of Isaiah 53. There’s also a free book offer and a video of Joel talking about his spiritual journey in life. Check it out!

>> In case you missed it: a video of me speaking at a recent conference, explaining my spiritual journey and how I didn’t discover I was Jewish until I was in the fifth grade!

Lynn and I and our boys had a wonderful time hosting a Passover seder last night. It was a very full house — 52 people! We’d never done a sit down dinner for that many, much less a seder for that many, but it was a great time, with ages ranging from toddlers to seniors, and fun mix of people, including Jews, Iranians, South Koreans, Italians, and many others.

One of my favorite elements of the evening was retelling the story of the original Passover, when Jews living in slavery had to sacrifice a perfect lamb and put the blood of that lamb on the doorposts of their home. If they did this in faith, in accordance to the word of the Lord which came through the…

I watched the DVD entitled “The Harbinger” several weeks ago.  In this video, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn describes in great detail nine harbingers, or prophetic warnings, that were given to ancient Israel because they turned away from God.  He believes that these harbingers are being repeated today in America for the very same reason.  Extremely compelling arguments are given as to why this is likely true.

I was so intrigued by the premise of the DVD that I knew I had to get the book!  Actually, my 21-year-old son bought it because he was captivated by what was being revealed in the video.  That says a lot if a young person is interested in something to this degree!

I’m presently reading the book and so far, it is the most exciting one I’ve read in a long time!  I feel like I’m watching a movie in my mind as I’m going through the pages.  I don’t want to put it down!  The author’s writing style hooks the reader from the first few lines of the very first chapter.  Even though it’s enjoyable to read, at the same time there’s an eerie ominousness to it because there’s no denying that these are events that are being fulfilled right now (2012) in the United States of America.  A definite “MUST READ.”

The following is a description:

Is it possible…

  • That there exists an ancient mystery that holds the secret of America’s future?
  • That this mystery lies behind everything from 9/11 to the collapse of the global economy?
  • That ancient harbingers of judgment are now manifesting in America?
  • That God is sending America a prophetic message of what is yet to come?

BEFORE ITS DESTRUCTION as a nation, ancient Israel received nine harbingers, prophetic omens of warning. The same nine harbingers are now manifesting in America—with immediate ramifications for end-time prophecy.

HIDDEN IN AN ANCIENT BIBLICAL PROPHECY from Isaiah, the mysteries revealed in The Harbinger are so precise that they foretold recent American events down to the exact days. The revelations are so specific that even the most hardened skeptics will find hard to dismiss. It sounds like the plot of a Hollywood thriller – with one difference… IT’S REAL.

THE PROPHETIC MYSTERIES ARE REVEALED THROUGH an intriguing and engaging narrative the reader will find hard to put down. The Harbinger opens with the appearance of a man burdened with a message he has received from a mysterious figure called The Prophet. The Prophet has given him nine seals, each containing a message about America’s future. As he tells of his encounters with The Prophet, from a skyscraper in New York City, to a rural mountaintop, to Capitol Hill, to Ground Zero, the mystery behind each seal is revealed. As the story unfolds, each revelation becomes a piece in a greater puzzle – the ramifications of which will even alter the course of world history.

“The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. Moses said to Joshua, ‘Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.’
So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.”  (Exodus 17:8-13)

“Keep your hands up!”  This was a thought that was strongly impressed upon me as I was washing dishes one morning.  I was going through a very trying time and at that moment I was thinking about everything that was going on and praying to God for a resolution.  Then I heard those words in my mind.

I immediately thought of the story of Moses holding up his hands during a battle against Israel and one of their enemies.  When Moses’ hands were held up, Israel started winning.  But when Moses’ hands got tired and he let them down, the enemy started winning.  Then two other men came and helped him keep his hands up in the air and eventually Israel won that battle.

I perceived that God was telling me that as long as I keep my hands up (i.e., praying to, praising, and worshiping Him — I believe with my hands held high), then He would give me favor in my battles, just like He did for Israel when Moses kept his hands up.

God got me through that particular battle victoriously.  There have been others since then, and He’s always gotten me through.  And I expect there to be more in the future.  I will continue to keep my hands held high to God in an attitude of prayer, praise, and worship to Him – in and out of the spiritual and physical battles that I face.

I hope this encourages you, the reader, to do the same.  Be blessed!

“As I was praying to the LORD, He led me to read Psalm 83.  While I read, I felt a great burden to continually lift up this song as a prayer for Israel.  I also felt an urgency to share this burden with others.

And so I present to you…”
